Constitution and Rules

 

1.1. Name
1.1.1. The name of the club is Ivanhoe Archers. (Hereinafter called ‘the Club’)
1.2. Address
1.2.1. The postal address of the Club is that of the current Secretary, or of the current Chairman if the post of Secretary is vacant.
1.3. Objectives
1.3.1. The objectives of the Club is to promote and encourage the sport of archery in all forms and to the benefit of its’ members.
1.4. Club Committee (powers, duties and form)
1.4.1. To encourage and promote participation in the activities of the Club.
1.4.2. To meet regularly to manage the Club for the members, and not less than 4 times per year.
1.4.3. To affiliate the Club and members to national, regional, county and other societies and associations deemed appropriate to further the object of the Club to the benefit of the members.
1.4.4. To invest club funds, to the benefit and promotion of the Club.
1.4.5. To raise funds to promote the objects of the Club, without undertaking any permanent trading activities.
1.4.6. The committee shall consist of the officers duly elected at an Annual or Extraordinary General Meeting.
1.4.7. A committee quorum shall consist of not less than 4 members.
1.4.8.

The following elected officers shall form the Club committee,

  • Chair
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Equipment Officer
  • Records & Field Officer
  • Child Protection Officer/Junior Rep,
  • County Rep
  • Public Relations Officer

 

1.4.9. Designated CPO/Junior Rep shall be suitably vetted in accordance with accepted educational practice.
1.5. Club Finances
1.5.1. Expenditure shall be subject to the signature of two of the authorised committee members.
1.5.2. Major expenditure in excess of £100 shall be subject to committee approval.
1.5.3. Committee members authorised to pay funds from the club bank account shall be the Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
1.5.4. The Club financial year shall run from 1st January to 31st December.
1.6. Dissolution
1.6.1. If upon winding up of the Club, after the payment of all debts and liabilities, there remains any funds, such funds shall be transferred to some other organisation having similar objects to the Club and not distributed to members.
1.7. Amendments
1.7.1. The Club Constitution may only be amended at a General Meeting of the Club (A.G.M. or E.G.M.)
